90 Day Challenge – Day 71- *ANNOUNCEMENT

Day 71 – Bikini Body Mommy Challenge (www.bikinibodymommy.com)

Today I am finally admitting defeat. Not because I am lazy or a quitter… which I guess officially I am a quitter. 😦

My heart isn’t in this challenge. With my current life situations the way that they are, finding time to do this challenge, and finding the time to blog about it…well, it is adding extra stress into my life that I just don’t need at the moment.

I do want to get fit, and be healthier! I think for the moment, until life calms down, I just need to take a step back and focus on more important things. I will continue to post the rest of the challenge for anyone that is still following along.

My apologies and the best of luck to everyone.

XXOO,

Mira

No worries Miranda. You did what you could. Some days I just revert back to squats and tricep dips because my ‘tennis elbows’ are so bad I can’t even hold a cup of coffee, never mid 5lb weights Since this challenge started, about 40 days into it, I had to start going to the chiropractor. I was always doing the cardio portion, but the strength training days started to wreak havoc on my joints and I need to be able to move to keep up with my kids and my teaching. So often I would cop out of those days and just do a bunch of squats.
We are however, stronger than before we started and the girl on the website itself is restarting her challenge online again beginning the first of January (I think). So you could always try it again if you want. 71 days is twice as long as any other challenge and you did awesome. You didn’t quit, you realize that this challenge is not right for your body – right now. I know that if I talk to my doctor, he’ll tell me to stop due to joint and ligament issues. That’s not quitting, it’s listening to your body and responding appropriately.

I look forward to your next challenge you find. For now, I’m going to do a squat and dip circuit mixed with cardio every day I can get it in. At least 5 times a week I’m going to “do” something. Good luck everyone.
