9/20 December Blog Challenge: Doodle something… Anything!

So when starting this challenges I had fully intended to actually doodle something or draw something. Now I haven’t had time to doodle…. I have been too busy with my Christmas baking. I have made, 24 butter tarts, 36 cinnamon buns, 70 shortbread cookies and 133 sugar cookies.

Yesterday I spent the morning decorating 60 of those sugar cookies, and I really think it can count towards my drawling/doodling challenge.

Check out the photos below.

See the evil snowman? I think he is my favourite lol! And there is one in there(middle pic near the bottom) that my 3 year old daughter did. Shh had a lot of fun! They are all super tasty- I know this because I’ve been taste testing them a little bit 😀

Do you think this counts towards the doodle challenge?

Real Strawberry Lemonade

With the summer upon us, what’s more refreshing than lemonade….. Well probably strawberry lemonade…. And with a little vodka…why I don’t mind if I do!

I found a recipe online to basically get an idea of what I should do to make my own lemonade. Before today I basically though, in order to make lemonade you simply go to the freezer and take out one of those frozen cans, drop it in a jug and add water…. Voila lemonade.

Let me just tell you…compared to this lemonade that I made today…. That canned stuff is absolute garbage!

This will make about 4.5 cups of juice.. So you can double the recipe of you want more.

So what you need is this:

-5 lemons — approximately
-Honey — 1/3 cup
-Strawberries — 1 1/4 cup sliced
-A juicer, or a citrus press
-Water — about 4 cups total
-Food processor
Then basically measuring cups, a pot, a jug for the finished juice.

First juice your lemons. You want to get 3/4 cup of juice.
And then cut up your strawberries and toss them in the food processed and purée them till there are no more chunky bits
Then in a pot, add the lemon juice, 1/2 cup of water the strawberry purée and 1/3 cup of honey. Stir it up real good and heat on med-hi. Bring the mixture just to a boil.
Pour it into,a juice jug with another 3-4 cups of,water depending on your taste preference, chill and

I was a bit hesitant as this was my first time using honey as an actual sweetener… But this is definitely the best lemonade EVER!…. not to mention I added a little vodka in there… Ciroc Vodka which is made from grapes rather than wheat like most vodkas! it’s ok to indulge in a drink every once in a while!
